AM 1 - DAWN 1

Last winter I spent time sketching in Toll Wood, by the Tweed in Innerleithen at different times of day. This painting originated in a sketch I made as the sun came up. I enjoyed the shapes of the remnants of a beech hedge, the softness of the hills and fields beyond and the stillness of a pool of water at my feet.
